BBC and Sky Sports Formula One commentator Harry Benjamin is the latest guest on series 10 of the award-winning podcast Fuelling Around.
Benjamin is now one of the countryās leading voices in the worldās biggest motorsport discipline, F1, after building up over a decade of experience in motorsport, despite only being 28-years-old.
He sat down with hosts Jason Plato and Dave Vitty to discuss his career so far, how he fell in love with F1 and what he plans on doing next.
Harry Benjamin on Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri battling it out
During his chat with the boys, Benjamin questioned whether a constructor can have more than one number one driver, and who is going to take that spot at the Woking-based side. He also looked ahead to the Miami Grand Prix.
āWhatās clear from the first five races, and five pretty much very different tracks, is McLaren have been strong at all of them and they are a step ahead of the game,ā Benjamin stated.
āLando Norris got his first win here (Miami) last year, and I think McLaren are going to be strong. I think Red Bull are going to struggle with the temperatures in particular because one of the things that really bites them at the moment is struggling to keep their tyres together when itās so hot.
āThat is the big pro that McLaren have, they just donāt seem to chew up their tyres as well as having a very well designed car.
āIām still so intrigued by whatās going to happen between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, I kind of rub my hands together a little bit, I know you shouldnāt, but they do seem very friendly, but theyāre so different.
āYou have this Piastri character who is as cool as ice, heās got that Aussie accent and heās chill, heās quite likeable, heās coming out of his shell and really stepped up his game compared to last year.
āThen you have Lando Norris, who has all of this talent, but itās so interesting to see that heās not able, seemingly, to be at ease with the speed and the talent that heās got right now.
āThereās always a little something, whether itās not hooking up a lap together in qualifying in Bahrain or crashing at the crunch moment in Saudi Arabia.
āHeās under pressure and I don’t know whether he feels that more. And this is the question, can a team have two number ones?ā
